Business Models and Strategy for Social Impact (3 of 4)
In this course students will learn how to create a business model for a mission-driven venture. During the course, students will test, validate, and adapt how to approach their venture's vision, while learning the ins and outs of designing a business model, utilizing business model tools and lean startup methodologies. Students build an understanding of the interrelationships between business model components and the ability to ask the questions and conduct the research that will enable them to de-risk their business model and maximize social impact. The course syllabus follows an iterative customer validation method building off of the Lean Startup / Lean LaunchPad curriculum as practiced in the startup community. In this hands-on course most of student learning happens through customer discovery inquiry and experiments taking place in the real world.
