Literary Nonfiction: Art in the Everyday
Students explore the personal essay, reportage, biography, travel writing, food writing, profile, memoir, and linked fragments. Dialogue, setting, characterization, plot, and narrative voice are emphasized. The discipline of writing regularly is supported through the assignment of short weekly exercises as well as longer pieces that are workshopped in class.
