What exactly is New Technology for Social Impact? Let’s break it down.

This terminology refers to a commitment toward technological advancements that will have a positive impact on our society. It’s all about employing new technologies to address the emerging and continued challenges we face in our social spheres. These new technologies present a gateway to new opportunities in business as well as serve as driving factor toward social and environmental change.

IDENTIFY & BUILD YOUR SKILLS

Our online certificate program, New Technology for Social Impact equips students with the skills they need to develop and implement sustainable solutions to social and environmental problems using technological innovations. 

Students planning to complete the certificate are advised to take Social Innovation Theory and Practice first, then Technology Innovation Frameworks and Technology Innovation for Social Impact last. (Courses last five weeks each. Certificate must be completed in two years, but we estimate that many students will finish in one to two semesters.)

  • How social problems can be solved through technology and a framework for how to select and implement the right technology for the problem you’re trying to solve.
