INSIDE SUMMER AT PARSONS PARIS
Lead an exciting summer of adventure, exploration, and opportunity in our summer abroad programs at Parsons Paris. Small class sizes, immersion into new cities, and portfolio-building coursework are some of the benefits of choosing an abroad program to continue your education.
Artist Jason Glasser, instructor of Explorations in Drawing, takes advantage of the resources in the surrounding city to teach his course, celebrating the Paris campus for offering students all sorts of inspiration. He says, “Parsons Paris is a small school, and the students get to know each other very quickly. The classrooms have good natural light, and they are all located in one building in one of the most beautiful neighborhoods of Paris. There is also a student lounge where students can get together between sessions. If the weather is nice, you can walk two blocks to the Jardin de Tuileries. During the Explorations in Drawing class, we visit some of the great museums and monuments of Paris, which are easy to get to from school.”
Katharina Sand, CEO of fashion platform Septieme Etage and instructor of Business of Fashion, Fashion Communication, and Marketing, PR and Branding Strategy, also credits small class sizes and the city itself for an unforgettable study abroad experience. She says, “What is extraordinary is the way we can focus on students. The classes are kept at such small sizes that it really is a boutique experience...And then, well, Paris itself! It is a fashion capital, but there is so much more—museums full of treasures and inspiration, street style, lifestyle, music, the Seine, amazing food. We all have our own Paris, of course. Mine is an unforgettable experience each time I visit.”
