About This Certificate

Introducing a new certificate targeted on human-centered design for websites, mobile apps and emerging technologies. Learn the latest tools, techniques, and technologies employed by the technology industry to develop world-class user experiences through project-based learning, concepts, and design methods. With the skills you learn from this certificate, you will be able to build and design websites, mobile apps and produce portfolio worthy projects. According to the Bureau of Labor and Statistics, the need for web developers is projected to grow 20 percent from 2012 to 2022. That’s much faster than the average rate among other professions. It is a good time to make a change.

Timeline to Completion: Courses last six to nine weeks. Students are advised to take one to two courses per semester. Certificates must be completed in two years, but many students finish in three semesters or one year.

Enrollment Type: Noncredit

Format: Online only

Number of Courses: 5 courses (2 core courses plus 3 track-specific courses)

Course Sequence: Students planning to complete the certificate are advised to take the core courses first, choose their desired track, then complete that track's required courses in the order listed.
