About Summer Programs
At The New School, creativity goes beyond art and design to encompass all disciplines, so your summer immersion can include drama, writing, film, social justice, activism, and entrepreneurship. Our art and design courses let you explore techniques, develop a portfolio for college applications, earn university credit, or gain new career skills.
Pre-college students in grades 3–12 can delve into fields ranging from animation and cartooning to fashion to 3D design and architecture in a noncredit Parsons Pre-College Academy course in New York City. Pre-college students 16 and older, university-age students, and adults can earn college credit engaging with subjects like fashion merchandising, German decorative arts, or lighting design or prepare a portfolio for graduate study in architecture.
Courses are offered in New York City, Paris, London, Barcelona, and Berlin, so you can draw inspiration from and learn in global creative capitals.
