Registration is on a first come, first served basis. Class sizes are limited. We encourage applicants to apply as early as possible, as most courses fill before session deadlines.The deadline for Summer Intensive Studies: New York Session I is April 15. The deadline for Summer Intensive Studies: New York Session II is May 15.. The International Student registration deadline for Summer Intensive Studies: New York Session I is TO EDIT April 15. The deadline for Summer Intensive Studies: New York Session II is TO EDIT May 15.
REGISTERING FOR COURSES
Applicants should select the appropriate level, pre-college or college/adult, as described below. Those who fail to meet the age and academic requirements will be required to withdraw from the program.
College/Adult-level courses: Students must be at least 19 years old or 18 with a year of college in order to attend the Summer Intensive Studies: New York program.
Full payment is required when you submit the application. Your student account cannot be billed for summer housing costs. The priority deadline for current student applications is April 30, 2019. Space is limited.
Students enrolled in the pre-college and college/adult-level programs in New York earn three college credits upon successful completion of the program. We strongly recommend that participants consult an academic advisor at their home institution for further details of approval, transfer, and fulfillment of graduation requirements.
SUMMER STUDENT FEES
All students must pay a registration fee of $40. Additional fees, including University Fee and Health Fee may incur and vary by program. These fees will be finalized by the time program registration begins on November 13. Please check back here for the most up to date information on fees by program.
Some Open Campus Summer Programs offer the option of on-campus housing. Following your confirmation of registration, an additional letter will be sent by email with instructions for applying for housing if applicable to your program. ACADEMIC TRANSCRIPT REQUEST
Transcripts issued by the Registrar’s Office carry the signature and seal of The New School. A transcript is confirmation of a student’s permanent record at the university. Students who complete Summer Intensive Studies may request that their transcript(s) be mailed to other colleges and institutions by submitting an official request to the Registrar’s Office. This can be done online at my.newschool.edu or by completing the transcript request form, which is available at the Registrar's Office or downloadable from the Registrar's Office website.
